End TB! Make It Happen

Join Us for a Free Webinar Session!

PhilCAT, in partnership with Department of Health and USAID’s TB Innovations and Health Systems Strengthening Project, invites you for a 2-hour webinar session entitled “RAISING THE BAR TO IMPROVE TB TESTING IN THE PHILIPPINES” this coming August 19, 2020, Wednesday, at 2:00 – 4:00 PM PST.

Current health systems miss finding persons due to various reasons that include lack of affordable access in the private sector to GeneXpert MTB/RIF test, the primary rapid molecular diagnostic test for TB. One out 3 persons with TB symptoms prefer to seek care in the private sector where GeneXpert MTB/Rif is limited and expensive. Recently, DOH’s National Tuberculosis Program (NTP) and the National TB Reference Laboratory (NTRL) developed the TB Laboratory Network Strategic Plan (LNSP), a roadmap which aims to eliminate TB in the country through improved access to quality-assured TB diagnostic services and expanded in the private sector.

This session aims to address prevailing challenges and share ongoing experiences to improve country capacity for TB testing.
