Webinar Session 2 of the 2021 Online PhilCAT Convention, “STEPPING UP CHILDHOOD TB CARE AND PREVENTION: BEST PRACTICES, NEW TOOLS AND GUIDELINES, August 11, 2021, 2:00 – 4:00 PM is now OPEN FOR REGISTRATION.

The session aims to (1) Discuss the relevance of the CPG on Childhood TB in clinical practice and present the important recommendations and evidence for the diagnosis and treatment of childhood TB; (2) Present  the  current approach to the diagnosis and treatment of children (<15years old) in the 2020 Manual of Procedures of the DOH-National TB Control Program and the  challenges in complying with the guidelines and possible solutions during the COVID-19 pandemic; (3) Discuss challenges in the implementation of  TPT and the strategies to improve uptake of TPT among children; and (4) Discuss challenges in the diagnosis of TB in children and the  newer diagnostic tests for pulmonary and extrapulmonary tuberculosis.

This session is organized by PhilCAT and Philippine Pediatric Society for free and has been provided 9.5 PAFP CPD Units Category II, 10 PCCP CME Units, 5 PCP CPD Units, 5 PMA CPD Units and 6 PPS CPD Units.
